"Raising Body Consciousness"
The most art-historically traditional work in the show is from the
skillful hand of Antonio Ciccone; appropriately from Florence, Italy, as
well as Southampton, he shows nine charcoal drawings delineating the
body either through realistic shadowing that reveals curves and muscles
or through an alternative linear simplicity. His background
settings for his figures are minimal and sketchy, in no way distracting
in spite of a muted surreal quality. |
